WHO WE ARE
The TEACH FLEET is a program operated by a 501c3 non-profit public charity and educational organization called the Gospel Lightship International.
Originally founded as a maritime ministry we now work with other non-profits such as maritime colleges, maritime organizations, sea grant programs, environmental organizations, and museums to conduct educational programs and public outreach.
Our mission is to serve students in diverse communities with a LEGO based maritime themed STEM program such as:
Conducting maritime STEM outreach with realistic LEGO replicas built for our maritime industry partners for public events
Teaching about ships and the environment with our Build-A-Ship to Learn-A-Lot program
Teaching about STEM diversity and history with our LEGO M.O.C. My our creations our own cultures programs
We serve students in diverse communities such as the ports of New York, Philadelphia, and Baltimore.
TEACH FLEET is an acronym for "Technology's Effects And Contribution Highlighted for Learning Ecological Environmental Topics."
